In continuation of our earlier Press Note, highlighting the APMC Departments Notices for cancellation of the licenses to around 2000 License Holders across Market Yards in Karnataka, on the ground of not conducting any businesses for the past three years.

FKCCI had highlighted the problems faced by the License Holders as the business were shut down during COVID pandemic for two years and also the APMC products were allowed to trade outside the Market Yard as per the Farm Laws announced by Government of India and Government of Karnataka.

Shri Ramesh Chandra Lahoti, President, FKCCI along with delegation of FKCCI members had met Shri Shivanand Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Textiles, Sugarcane Development and APMC today at his office and appraised him of the difficulties faced by the License Holders and requested him to grant one year’s time for all the License Holders of Market Yards to recoup from the impact of pandemic as well as Farm Laws impact and to establish their business activities.
